DIO is a specialist insulation division of Direct Plasterboard Outlet Canberra.
It all started back in 1998 when a young Barry Morcom opened up his first plasterboard distribution business in Campbelltown NSW. Through his hard work, his network of stores quickly grew to 6 stores. In 2001 Barry purchased a very small plasterboard shed in Fyshwick ACT and quickly opened a second Canberra store in Mitchell. In 2011 he rebranded his stores as DPO.
Canberra builders at the time were in need of a reliable supply and fit insulation service. DIO was created for this and quickly became a leading supplier of insulation to builders and commercial developers. Wanting to increase the offering to consumers, Barry launched the DIO website in 2018. And here we are today, an Australian business still owned by Barry, still working at giving the best service to our customers. Our network of stores now totals 10, so Barry and the team are busier than ever, giving you the best customer service we can.
With rising energy costs and higher building standards, insulation has become a very important component of a new build, renovation or retro-fit in ceilings.
